About Me
Senior IT systems engineer and AI researcher, fourteen years of work bridging enterprise infrastructure and applied AI.
My earlier career was in enterprise IT: from 2009 to 2023 I was responsible for the network and
communications of 152 bank branches at Sadad Informatics, together with servers, virtualization,
backup, monitoring and on-call incident response.
I started studying machine learning in 2017 and have worked on it seriously since 2019 — first in
data analysis and automation for the bank, and today in my own products and research.
Since moving to Iceland I founded Alixra, a deliberately small practice offering AI services to
Icelandic businesses, and I build and run my own products, most recently Vagga, a bilingual planning
platform for parents in Iceland. Alongside this I do independent research on where metadata should
enter Earth-observation foundation models, and on controlling difficulty in text generated by
language models.

Vagga — Planning Platform for Parents in Iceland Live

- Bilingual planning platform for parents in Iceland, from before pregnancy to about age four: a personal timeline of official deadlines, guides drawn from official sources, and trackers.
- Icelandic law and GDPR built into the product, including explicit consent for health data enforced in the database.

Earth-Observation Foundation Models: Where Should Metadata Enter? Research · in progress
2026 · Independent computer-vision research
- A systematic comparison of where and how location metadata enters a model, across three architectures and four backbones, including Prithvi-EO-2.0 and TerraMind.
- Found spatial leakage in the official EuroSAT split and built a geographic, leakage-free split.
- Studies how models behave when metadata is missing at inference, and training with random metadata dropout.
- Tech: PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, TerraTorch, Hugging Face, rasterio, xarray, ERA5.
NS-CIG — Controlling Difficulty in LLM-Generated Text Research prototype
2026 · Independent NLP research
- Calibrating a language model to hit a requested difficulty level by placing several anchor examples of known level in its context.
- Planner, actor, evaluator and tracker components, with an LLM judge for scoring; the main experiment has not been run yet.
- Tech: Python, spaCy, NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Claude and Gemini APIs, Next.js, Postgres.
GlaciGo — Tour Company Platform Rebuild In progress
2026 · Designer and developer
- Full-stack rebuild of an Icelandic tour company's website: a real database, a booking engine with server-side pricing, PDF tickets, and admin, customer, partner and driver panels with end-to-end tests.
- Designed the platform and built much of it.
- Tech: Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, Playwright, n8n, Telegram Bot API.

Iceland Luxury Tour — Tourism Service Directory Live

- Public directory of 1,898 Icelandic tourism service companies, built by matching Bókun marketplace data with the official company register.

- Trilingual (Persian, English, Icelandic) community website: events with registration, news, guides, a business directory, a member dashboard with push notifications, and a board panel.

ProposalMD — AI-Assisted Software Delivery Offline
2024
- Turned an early idea into structured research, architecture and implementation-ready task files through a multi-stage LLM workflow with human review at each stage.
- Tech: Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase.
- Status: the service was taken offline in October 2026.
Icelandic Laws Chatbot Retired
2023
- An AI assistant that answers questions about Icelandic law in natural language, tested on web and Telegram.
- Tech: RAG, LangChain.
- Status: retired within six months, once general-purpose assistants answered these questions better than a dedicated RAG pipeline.
OSK List — Gift Fund and RSVP Pages for Events Prototype
- One event page for invitations, RSVPs and a shared gift fund, designed for weddings, confirmations and other celebrations in Iceland.
